Can I build a swimming pool in my backyard?

In addition to determining feasibility, your Andrews designer will help you select the best size, shape and features for your swimming pool, while also reviewing patio, fencing and utilities options that will complete your swimming pool environment. An on-site meeting with an Andrews professional will also provide you with an accurate cost estimate for the selections you choose.

How much does an in-ground swimming pool cost?

Swimming pool projects can range in price from 8% to 12% of the value of your home. This range can include the complete swimming pool environment- swimming pool, patio, fencing and utilities. Your on-site meeting with an Andrews designer will help you establish an accurate project budget.

Is there a difference between gunite and vinyl liner pools?

Yes. Gunite pools offer an infinite selection of design possibilities, and are backed with a limited lifetime structural warranty. Vinyl liner pools are more economically priced, and have a reduced installation time.

Can I finance my swimming pool project?

Yes. There are a variety of finance programs available for swimming pools. Contact your personal bank, or ask your Andrews representative for information about financing programs that would best meet your needs.

How long will it take to build my pool?

Drafting plans and obtaining a building permit can take 1-2 weeks- a lot depends on your local municipality. Once a building permit has been obtained and the excavation of your swimming pool is completed, construction time for a gunite pool, patio and fence ranges from 6-8 weeks. A similar vinyl pool project time range is 4-6 weeks. Remember, you're building your swimming pool for many years of enjoyment, not just for the first year. So make the time allowances to do it right!

Do I become the general contractor?

No! At Pools by Andrews, we design, contract and install your pool, patio, fencing and utilities- everything you need for a complete swimming pool environment. We are prepared to handle as much of the project as you would like us to.
